Right now, I have two 18"x24" colored, oil pastel still lifes to finish. Here is what I've come to realize:
I miss black and white and gray. The simplicity of black and white was just so wonderful, and I missed out on the opportunity to appreciate it. It takes at least 6 or 7 colors to create one color. Color is a complicated process. It takes time and an ocean full of patience. I have neither.
At this point, I would love to live my life in black and white.
I yearn for simplicity.
