so the semester is over and i have survived. for four blissful weeks i will not be making frequent trips to kinkos at ungodly hours of the night. the mere thought of this sends me into dizzying heights of happiness. now, i must admit that typography was the class i struggled with the most this past semester. i wanted so badly to enjoy it - because i really do love typography...but maybe not when i'm being graded on it? and now that the semester is over, i can enjoy typography once more. there is an amazing blog called ilovetypography.com that has featured some truly wonderful articles on typography. i discovered one of my new favorite prints through this website (featured above) by joseph mueller called "casanova". it's sweet, simple, and completely endearing in every possible typographic way - and it is also my desktop wallpaper. ilovetyography.com also introduced me to my new hero, tsang kin-wah. above, i featured my favorite of his screenprints: "i love u". and really, how can you not love it - or him for that matter. and if he didn't win your love with that print, check out his text installations. the last picture is tsang kin-wah hand painting his commissioned installation for shu uemera in costa mesa.
so i will leave you all with this: go check out this website and reconnect with the love of typography that lies deep within each and every one of our hearts.
